Sligo Rovers lose 2-0 to Peamount



Sligo Rovers women suffered another league defeat on Saturday, losing 2-0 to title challengers Peamount United in Dublin.

Team captain Emma Hansberry returned to the Rovers starting line-up after an injury-interrupted season – and played 70 minutes.

Goals from Peamount captain and Irish international Áine O’ Gorman and Sadhbh Doyle gave the home side all three points to continue their push for the league title.

Rovers remain third from bottom in the table after Saturday’s result.

Wexford Youths remain top following their 3-0 win against Treaty United.
