Holders Eunan’s, Kilcar & Gweedore reach Donegal SFC semi-finals

Reigning Donegal champions St Eunan’s moved relentlessly into the last four of the 2022 Michael Murphy Sports & Leisure senior football championship with an emphatic 2-15 to 0-5 win over St Michael’s in Glenties.

They will be joined in Sunday’s semi-final draw by Kilcar, who beat neighbours Killybegs earlier on Saturday by 1-14 to 1-7, with Paddy McBrearty contributing 0-9.

There was bitter disappointment for John McNulty’s Aodh Ruadh as, despite a gallant rally late on, they lost to Gweedore by a single point, 0-8 to 0-7.

The fourth quarter-final takes place on Sunday afternoon in Letterkenny with Naomh Conaill playing Glenswilly.

That game is being televised live by TG4.

Elsewhere, Dungloe are back in the intermediate final following Saturday night’s 0-11 to 0-7 win over Termon in Ardara.

Naomh Columba and Fanad Gaels meet in Sunday’s second semi-final at 6pm in Ballybofey – a game which will be live on Ocean FM in association with Doherty’s XL Foodstore.
