The man charged with a double murder in Sligo earlier this year in Sligo has now been charged with attempted murder.
Yousef Palani appeared before the local District Court this morning.
He was charged with the attempted murder of Anthony Burke.
Mr Palani with an address of 10 Markievicz Heights, Sligo didn’t make any reply when charged.
Sgt Derek Butler told the judge the Director of Public Prosecutions had directed that the previous charge of assault causing serious harm to Mr Burke could be withdrawn and stuck out with the new charge of attempted murder was replacing that charge.
The accused is also charged with the murder of Aidan Moffitt and Michael Snee in April this year.
