Leitrim name Jonny Garrity as new LGFA manager

Leitrim LGFA have again looked to Tyrone in appointing a new county intermediate football manager.

Jonny Garrity has been ratified as the new bainisteoir following Tuesday night’s county board meeting.

The Fintona native succeeds fellow Tyrone man Hugh Donnelly who recently departed the role after three years in charge.

Donnelly guided Leitrim to back-to-back Connacht intermediate football titles.

Garrity has proven managerial pedigree, having previously guided Fermanagh to an All-Ireland junior football title in 2020 – and he was also previously in charge of Tyrone LGFA minors.

While studying for a Masters in England, Garrity also worked for a time with the Performance Analysis Department at Manchester City FC.

More recently, he has been employed as a GAA Games Development Officer with Fermanagh GAA.

Garrity be joined on his Leitrim management ticket by Derrygonnelly Harps clubman Dermot Feely.
