There was no joy for Drumbar United FC in the Donegal Women’s League senior cup final in Letterkenny on Sunday night as they went down to Bonagee United 3-0.
Goals from Bronagh Gallagher, Caoimhne Heron and Player of the Match Ciana Brogan saw Bonagee complete a league and cup double.
Nonetheless, the growing profile of women’s soccer at Drumbar has again been underlined by reaching this senior decider.
Drumbar have already enjoyed lots of success this season at underage level, winning the U16 county cup earlier this month.
