Tourlestrane heading for semi-finals after big win



Tourlestrane women’s gaelic footballers are on course for at least a semi-final place in the Sligo LGFA Connacht Gold senior championship following Sunday morning’s facile 10-16 to 2-6 win over Eoghan Rua in south Sligo.

It was a very comfortable win for the home side who have now made it three wins from three in the round-robin series to date.

Neil Egan’s side are assured of at least a semi-final place with two groups games still to go.

The top team from the group stage will quality directly for the county final with the second and third-placed sides contesting a semi-final

Even at this early stage, Tourlestrane are assured of finishing no lower than third at the end of the group stage.

Elsewhere, St Nathy’s and Eastern Harps played out a highly entertaining draw in Bunninadden on Sunday morning.
