Inadequate broadband in the northwest is negatively impacting students



A Sligo councillor says issues around inadequate broadband will continue to negatively impact students in the northwest.

 

A recent study by Pure Telecom found that 36 percent of parents say their child has been unable to complete online homework due to slow or no broadband at home.

 

The findings indicate that rural families are more likely to be impacted.

 

It reveals that 28 percent of the average schoolchild’s homework now relies on the internet.
