A local Fianna Fail Cllr believes that Dara Callearys appointment as Minister of State is good news for Sligo.
Mr Calleary replaces Robert Troy who stepped down last week and will take over as Minister of State at the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment.
The Mayo TD previously served as the Agriculture Minister but resigned in 2020, in the aftermath of the Golfgate controversy.
