Holders Ballinamore beat Mohill in Leitrim championship



Reigning Leitrim Connacht Gold senior football champions Ballinamore Seán O’Heslin’s scored a dramatic one-point victory over rivals Mohill in Friday night’s championship clash, on a final scoreline of 0-14 to 1-10.

Tom Prior was Ballinamore’s matchwinner as his late point clinched victory by the narrowest of margins.

He spoke to Ray Lannon about that dramatic score deep in added time.

 

It’s Mohill’s second championship defeat in three matches – following their two-point loss to Fenagh/St Caillin’s last weekend.

In Friday evening’s other senior game, in-form Fenagh/St Caillin’s completely outclassed Dromahair in  a whopping 28-point victory in Glencar.
