One way system in Sligo ‘being abused’ by some motorists



It’s been claimed that some motorists are ‘abusing’ parts of the one way system in Sligo town.

 

The system was introduced in 2005 in a bid to tackle congestion in the town centre.

 

However, a number of people have contacted Cllr Arthur Gibbons in relation to a number of junctions where it’s reported that some cars are breaking the rules.

 

Cllr Gibbons says it’s a serious issue and is calling for more Gardai to patrol the affected areas:
