New files emerge over killing of Donegal man

New files have revealed that the Royal Ulster Constabulary deliberately murdered Donegal man Michael Leonard in May 1973.

The 24-year old cattle dealer was shot dead in suspicious circumstances between Belleek in Fermanagh and Pettigo in Donegal.

The files reveal that the RUC told lies at the Inquest and deliberately misled the Irish Government over the killing.

Ciaran MacAirt, a Researcher on the Troubles, says the death of Michael Leonard was no accident.
