Sligo swimmer Mona McSharry finished fifth in the 100m breaststroke final at the European Aquatics Championships in Rome.
The Grange native recorded a time of 1:07.14 at Saturday’s final.
Two Italian swimmers finished first and second respectively with Benedetta Pilato (1:05.97) winning gold and Lisa Angiolini winning silver.
Meanwhile, Lithuania’s Ruta Meilutyte finished third to win the bronze medal.
