Multi-million contracts for two Donegal hotels housing Ukrainian refugees



Two Donegal hotels have been awarded contracts of a combined total of just over 6 million euro to house Ukrainian refugees.

 

Nationally, the Government has agreed contracts worth 99 million for private accommodation and services for those who have fled the war in Ukraine.

 

According to tender documents published by the Department of Integration, the Grand Central Hotel in Bundoran has been awarded a contract valued at almost €2.5m for providing the hotel for use as temporary accommodation.

 

McGettigan’s Hotel in Letterkenny has been awarded a contract worth €3.7m.

 

According to the Irish Examiner, 90 tender documents have been signed to date, however the state are still seeking additional solutions such as housing families on islands.
