‘Growing interest’ in those seeking to live in rural parts of Leitrim



There’s said to be a growing interest in those seeking to live in rural parts of County Leitrim.

 

Latest figures from Leitrim County Council show that there’s an average of 12 bids per Council owned property in the Manorhamilton MD alone.

 

The statistics have also revealed that there are currently twelve vacant council owned dwellings in the area however five of them are set to become occupied in the coming weeks.

 

Manorhamilton Sinn Fein Cllr Padraig Fallon says there’s clearly a demand for housing and the Council should be looking at acquiring more properties:
