Sligo Rovers have confirmed that defender Robbie McCourt has left the club to join Dundalk for an undisclosed fee.
McCourt joined Rovers at the start of the 2021 season from Waterford and has made 37 appearances for the club.
He had struggled to get a regular starting place in the Rovers back four this season, largely due to the impressive performances by new signing Paddy Kirk at left-back.
Manager John Russell told sligorovers.com: ‘’I’d like to thank Robbie for all his efforts over the last 18 months. He played a crucial role in us qualifying for Europe last season.
“Robbie was eager to move on and play more regularly so we wish him all the best in his future career’.”
