Mica PRO expresses disappointment in President as Bill signed into law



The PRO of the Mica Action Group has expressed his disappointment in the President over signing the revised mica redress scheme into law.

 

The Government Bill, which will provide grants of up to €420,000 to homeowners to repair defects caused by Mica, was signed into law by President Michael D. Higgins over the weekend.

 

Speaking to Ocean fm news, PRO of the group Michael Doherty says any real change to the scheme now will only happen with a change in Government.

 

He says should Sinn Fein be in power next time around, there will be pressure on the party to deliver for homeowners:
