Donegal’s Brendan Boyce finished 25th in the men’s 35-kilometre walk at the World Athletics Championships in Oregon.
The Letterkenny man lasted the pace in humid conditions which began at 6.15am Oregon time.
The Finn Valley AC athlete crossed the line in a time of 2:33.31.
Of the 50 starters in the men’s race, 5 failed to finish while 4 were disqualified.
Boyce is coached by 2013 50-kilometre World Champion Rob Heffernan.
