Sligo sports psychologist Caroline Currid received more plaudits for her work behind the scenes with the victorious Limerick senior hurling team, after their 1-13 to 2-26 All-Ireland final success against Kilkenny at Croke Park on Sunday.
It’s Limerick’s fourth All-Ireland title in five years, and Sligo native Currid has been part of manager John Kiely’s backroom team for each of those wins.
In all, it’s Currid’s seventh All-Ireland senior title, when added to her work with the Tyrone footballers in 2008, the Tipperary hurlers in 2010 and the Dublin footballers in 2011.
Currid was a guest on RTÉ’s The Sunday Game from the Limerick team banquet, where she gave a little insight into the work she does off the field of play.
