Sligo/Leitrim TD launches HSE Enhanced Community Care Programme for Sligo Leitrim

At the Official Opening of the Benbulbin Chronic Disease Management Hub Sligo, Frank Morrison Head of Older Person Service CHO1, Mandy Doyle Head Of Primary Care CHO1,Chief Officer CHO1 Dermot Monaghan, Frank Feighan, Minister of State for Public Health, Well Being and National Drugs Strategy, Cara O Neill, Head of Service for Health and Wellbeing, Emma Ball, General Manager Primary Care Service Sligo Leitrim West-Cavan and Paul Reid, Director-General of the Health Service Executive.

Minister of State and Sligo/Leitrim Frank Feighan has launched the HSE Enhanced Community Care Programme for Sligo Leitrim and Officially Opens Benbulben Chronic Disease Management Hub and Carrick on Shannon Primary & Mental Health Care Centre.

Minister Feighan officially launched the ECC Programme Developed as part of Sláintecare.

The programme represents a €240 million investment in community health services. It aim is to provide more services closer to people’s homes, especially for older people and people living with chronic disease and to reduce pressure on hospital services.
