Donegal man to make round-Ireland cycle world record attempt

Ballyshannon’s Karol McNern is about to begin an around-Ireland non-stop solo cycle over 2,200 kilometres this week in aid of North West Hospice.

He will set off from his home town this Tuesday morning, July 5th, and will aim to return to Ballyshannon on Saturday night, after having completed a full circuit of the island of Ireland.

Karol spoke to Ocean FM Sport’s Austin O’Callaghan on Sunday as he put the finishing touches to his preparations.
