A former RTE journalist has reportedly been asked to consider running for a European Parliament seat.
The Sunday Times reports Fianna Fail has approached Ciaran Mulooly, who retired from the state broadcaster last year after serving 27 years.
According to the paper, Mr. Mulooly was approached by a former Minister and was asked to run in the Midlands North West constituency.
It has four available seats and the current term expires in 2024.
