Current Covid wave could lead to cancelation of Non-urgent hospital appointments across the Northwest



Non-urgent hospital appointments could be cancelled again if the current Covid wave continues to worsen.

That’s the warning from a leading HSE official, with 812 patients in hospital with the virus at the moment.

That’s over twice as many as three weeks ago – and the highest in nearly 80 days.

there are 35 Covid patients are at Letterkenny University Hospital, as it continues to face major pressures and 21 at Sligo University Hospital which is currently affected by an outbreak.
