Concern has been expressed over the future of the morgue services at our Lady’s Hospital in Manorhamilton.
The facilities at the Hospital are availed of by a number of local undertakers that use the onsite equipment as well as the church where the families of the deceased meet with those extending their sympathies.
Local councillor Sean McDermott says there are claims locally that equipment has been transferred from the morgue in Our Lady’s Hospital to other locations.
He says this move following the decision to suspend day care services at the hospital is a further example of services being removed from the town of Manorhamilton.
