A St Vincent De Paul representative in the north west has warned of the severe challenges that will be facing families from August.
Rosa Glacken says groups such as St Vincent De Paul are gearing up for an increased demand for their services to coincide with schools reopening in August.
She has expressed concern over children being malnourished with hard pressed families having to choose between food and fuel.
