Consensus reached on proposed development in Strandhill

It’s thought that a consensus has been reached in relation to the proposed development of the sea front of Strandhill in County Sligo.

Under the proposal traffic will be directed mainly to the car park in the village with reduced car parking along the seas front.

It’s also understood footpaths will be widened on route to the sea front while disability parking and loading bays will also be retained.

The agreement has been reached following recent consultation between local businesses, residents and architects.

Sligo Strandhill Councillor Sinead Maguire says the proposed development will be extremely positive for the area.
