Car parking spaces at Strandhill shorefront set to be reduced



The numbers of car parking spaces along the shorefront at Strandhill will be reduced by about 20, after an agreement was reached in relation to the Development Plan for the area.

 

The consensus reached on the matter is a case of common sense prevailing, according to Fianna Fail councillor, Tom MacSharry.

 

Under the plan, apart from reduced car parking, footpaths will be widened en route to the seafront while disabled parking spaces will be retained.

 

It follows an extensive public consultation on the issue.
