Minister faces backlash in Dail from Donegal TD over cost of living comments



A Donegal Sinn Fein TD has accused the Green Party Leader of ‘having the stick ready at all stages’ when it comes to the rising cost of living.

 

Minister Eamon Ryan was asked this week what people should do with petrol and diesel prices still rising fast, and he advised them to “go to their social welfare office and look for further assistance.”

 

Speaking in the Dail, Deputy Padraig MacLochlainn says counties like Donegal are feeling a horrendous impact as a result of increasing prices and had branded Minister Ryans advice as offensive:
