Sligo Students Union President warns of ‘additional challenges’



The President of the Students Union in Sligo is warning of the challenges that will be facing third level  students when it comes to securing accommodation ahead of the new academic year which will be begin in the Autumn.

 

Students are among a number of groups already most at risk from increasing living costs.  They are also paying some of the highest college fees n Europe.

 

 

With the Atlantic Technology University expected to attract large number of students to the North West there is concern over the level of accommodation that will be available to cater for the demand in Sligo.

 

Dáire Martin is the president of the Students Union in Sligo.

 

He says there will be an increased demand for accommodation in Sligo next in September
