Southern Hotel Super League champions Carbury FC reached the Glasshouse Hotel Cup final with a 4-2 win against MCR in Thursday night’s semi-final at Ray MacSharry Park.
They led 2-0 at half-time thanks to goals from Jason Lynons and Niall Brennan.
Mark Hannon added a third early in the second-half and Carbury looked to be in complete control of the tie.
However, goals from Jordan Harte and Gary Rooney in the closing quarter of the game brought MCR back into it and set up a dramatic last few moments.
But – in injury time – Carbury added a fourth to seal the win and set up a cup final meeting against their league title rivals this season, Cartron United.
The Glasshouse Hotel Cup final will take place on Saturday, May 21st, at Ray MacSharry Park (7pm).
