The teams have drawn their two previous league meetings to date – but Shamrock Rovers are enjoying a rich vein of form, having won six of their last seven league matches.
Sligo Rovers, who are currently fifth in the table, go into Monday night’s game off the back of a 2-1 loss to Shelbourne at Tolka Park last Friday night.
Defender Garry Buckley returns to the matchday squad from suspension – but Shane Blayney is unlikely to feature.
