Donegal hurlers remain on course for Nickey Rackard Cup final



Donegal hurlers remain on course for a place in the final of the 2022 Nickey Rackard Cup following Saturday’s 0-35 to 0-10 win over Warrickshire in Birmingham.

The result means Mickey McCann’s side will qualify for the final of a competition they last won in 2020, if they avoid defeat in their final group game against Tyrone in Carrickmore on Saturday.

Roscommon hurlers also remain on course for the final after a 3-24 to 0-21 victory against Tyrone at the weekend.

In Ballina, Mayo came from behind to beat Padraig Mannion’s Sligo by 2-24 to 1-20.

Kildare hurlers, who will be Sligo’s next opponents in the round-robin series,  have already qualified for the final after their 5-25 to 3-10 win against Kildare.
