Parents across the north west are being reminded that applications for school transport for the new school year will close today.
It applies only for new applicants seeking primary and/or post-primary school transport for 2022/2023, and includes students starting school in September.
The deadline also applies to students moving school, those moving from primary to post-primary school or those who have or will move address before the school year.
No fees are required at this point as the payment portal will open in June.
Sligo Councillor Marie Casserly says there will be a reduction in the costs of School Bus ticket’s this year.
She’s encouraging all parents to make sure their applications are placed in time.
