Sligo Hospital second most overcrowded today



Sligo University Hospital is the second most overcrowded in the country today, according to the Irish nurses and Midwives Organisation’s Trolley Watch.

48 people are awaiting a bed and a further 42 are waiting in Letterkenny University Hospital.

95 people are on trolleys in University Hospital Limerick, the most impacted nationally.

Overall throughout the country today, 454 patients are awaiting for beds.

When it comes to Covid-19 patients receiving treatment in the region, five patients are in Sligo and eight in Letterkenny.

412 patients are in an Irish hospital with the virus today, the lowest figure this year, 38 of whom are in an ICU.
