Donegal boys minor gaelic footballers made a winning start to their 2022 Ulster Championship campaign on Saturday with an emphatic 4-16 to 0-5 victory over Fermanagh at MacCumhaill Park in Ballybofey.
Luke Barrett’s side led by 1-6 to 0-2 at the interval but three second-half goals helped them pull well clear of their Erne opponents.
Daithí Gildea contributed 2-6 of Donegal’s tally in a very one-sided contest as they booked a semi-final place in the Ulster minor championship.
There were two more minor quarter-finals scheduled for later on Saturday, with Antrim playing Derry and holders Tyrone taking on Cavan.
