Connacht U20 final moved to Markievicz Park

Connacht GAA have confirmed that next Wednesday’s EirGrid Connacht U20 football final between Sligo and Mayo will now be played at Markievicz Park at 6pm.

The final was originally fixed for the Connacht GAA Centre of Excellence at 7:30pm, to facilitate live TV coverage.

However, Sligo announced on Saturday that they would not be willing to fulfill the fixture, believing they were entitled to home advantage for the provincial decider.

Following discussions between Connacht GAA and the under-20 championship’s broadcast partner TG4, the game has now been moved to Markievicz Park on Wednesday evening (April 20th) with an earlier throw-in time of 6pm.

The game will be live on TG4 and on Ocean FM.

Tickets for the rescheduled final go on sale online this Sunday morning from 10am.
