President of Atlantic Technological University is confident any geographical challenges will be overcome

The President of the new Atlantic Technological University says there will be some challenges due to the geographical spread of the eight campuses over four counties, but is confident they will be overcome in time.

Dr. Orla Flynn says they are aiming to have each campus up to a certain standard when it comes to education facilities.

IT Sligo becomes a part of the new University from today, along with GMIT and LYIT, with an official launch taking place on Monday where it will become known as ATU Sligo.

Dr. Flynn highlights some of the challenges the University will be aiming to tackle for the first decade.
