Today’s meeting of Donegal County Council has been adjourned after Cathaoirleach Cllr Jack Murray said elected representatives and council staff didn’t feel safe as a result of what happened at the meeting.
The meeting, which had been taking place at the Aura Leisure Centre in Letterkenny, is now adjourned to Wednesday April 6th.
Gardai were present at the venue today and took statements from staff.
Today’s developments follows previous council meetings that also ended in uproar.
Independent Councillor Niamh Kennedy said today’s events are a bad reflection on Donegal County Council.
