Championship throw-in times confirmed for Ruislip & New York



The throw-in times for next month’s Connacht senior football championship games in Ruislip and Gaelic Park, New York, were confirmed by Connacht GAA on Monday night.

Both Leitrim and Sligo will travel overseas on the Easter weekend for their respectively championship openers against London and New York on Easter Sunday, April 17th.

Leitrim’s quarter-final with London at McGovern Park in Ruislip will have a 2:30pm on Sunday, April 17th. Monaghan referee Martin McNally will take charge of the game.

The winners face either Mayo or Galway in the Connacht semi-final on May 8th.

Also on Easter Sunday, but five hours later in Gaelic Park in New York, Tony McEntee’s Sligo take on New York at 7:30pm – with Tyrone’s Sean Hurson to be the match referee.

Should they come through that game, Roscommon await in the the Connacht semi-final at Dr Hyde Park on May 1st.

Both quarter-finals will be broadcast live by Ocean FM Sport on a bumper Easter Sunday of live sport – as the 2022 West of Ireland Golf Championship at Co Sligo Golf Club will also be in full swing on the same weekend.

This year’s Connacht senior football final will be played on May 29th.
