Gardaí investigating the aggravated burglary and attack on 73-year old Tom Niland in Skreen, in West Sligo, on Tuesday 18th January last, have arrested three men.
The three were detained in the North West Region, on suspicion of burglary.
On man is aged in his 50s, one in his 30s and one in his 20s.
They are currently being held at separate Garda stations in the Sligo and Leitrim Garda Division.
