PetStop Sligo to bring donated items direct to Ukrainian border

Volunteers across Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal have been out in force this weekend gathering essential supplies for the Ukrainian people.

Collections in many areas have stopped for today due to the sheer volume of items being donated.

Volunteers are being sought for a number of collections around the region next week for people fleeing the the ongoing war in Ukraine which has created a large scale humanitarian crisis.

Manager of PetStop in Sligo, Aaron Cawley says there are collection points in all their stores for people to bring items.

Speaking to OceanFM’s Mark Halton, he says they will be delivering the items themselves.
