Leitrim Councillor claims An Post are not interested in replacing rural post boxes



Missing Post Boxes in parts of north Leitrim have still not been replaced despite being reported stolen or missing more than three years ago.

 

A number of ‘old style’ post boxes were removed from a number of locations across the county and in other neighbouring counties.

 

At least one box was removed close to the Galley Bridge situated just outside Drumshanbo on the Manorhamilton road.

 

Local Councillors have been unable to obtain any information from An Post as to if or when the boxes will be replaced.

 

Drumshanbo based Councillor Enda McGloin says it’s frustrating that An Post  are not responding to Council’s queries on the missing post boxes:
