New ATM for Drumshanbo

A new ATM has been installed in the Leitrim town of Drumshanbo.

The new cash withdrawal facility is located in the exterior wall of the Credit Union building, in the town centre.

The former Bank of Ireland ATM was decommissioned after the closure of the former Bank of Ireland branch in the town.

It follows a similar situation in the town of Ballymote in County Sligo, which lost its ATMs after two bank branches in the town closed.  An ATM is now located in the credit union building in Ballymote.

Fergal McPartland is the manager of the Drumshanbo Credit Union; he says the installation of the new ATM will increase footfall in the town.
