A Love Leitrim representative has called on all local elected Public representatives to follow in the footsteps of former Sligo Leitrim TD Tony McLoughlin and support a complete ban on fracking.
The comments come as the DUP have called for a complete ban on Fracking in Northern Ireland.
In the Republic of Ireland this week, Green Party TD, Neasa Hourigan has launched a LNG Free Bill entitled ‘Not Here Not Anywhere’
The bill was presented to TDs and Senators this week.
The Bill would stop the granting of planning permission for Liquefied Natural Gas terminals in Ireland.
Love Leitrim representative Eddie Mitchell says it’s vital that local TD’s support the bill being put forward by Neasa Hourigan.
