The EJ Sligo All-Stars suffered their first league defeat in 2022 on Saturday night in Dublin, as they were edged out by promotion rivals Abbey Seals Dublin Lions 86-83.
The All-Stars had led at one stage in the final quarter but they were unable to close out the game as their hosts came back to take the points.
Keith Jordan top scored for the All-Stars on the night with 34 points, with Zach Powell supplying 19 points and Jamie Hayes 15.
The All-Stars remain top of the North Conference with three games in the regulation season remaining – but both the Lions and Tolka Rovers have closed up on Shane O’Meara’s side.
The top four teams in the North Conference will qualify for the end-of-season play-offs.
