Faul Cup Final falls foul of the weather



Ulster Schools Gaelic Football Faul Cup Final between Carrick’s Coláiste na Carraige and Ballybay Community College of Monaghan due to take place on Friday afternoon was postponed as the game fell victim to Storm Eunice.

The final, scheduled for the Melvin Sports Complex in Strabane was postponed due to the severe rain and snow which fell on Thursday night and early Friday morning.

Following their one-point semi-final victory over fellow Donegal school St. Catherine’s, Coláiste na Carraige were due to face a Ballybay side who also achieved a single point margin of victory in the last four, defeating Castleblayney College.

The Faul Cup is contested by vocational schools across the province of Ulster and is played at under 19 level.
