MEP, Chris MacManus remembers the tragic loss of his brother ahead of a ceremony to mark the 30th anniversary



 

It’s 30 years ago this Saturday since the shooting dead of a young Sligo town man during an IRA attack in Belleek.

21 year old Joe MacManus was killed when he and two of his IRA colleagues attempted to ambush part-time Ulster Defence Regiment member, William Glass, on the outskirts of Belleek on 5th February, 1992
