Sligo based Solicitor Éiteáin Cunningham has been appointed as the new district judge for Letterkenny.
Ms Cunningham has been appointed to the role by President Michael D Higgins.
She takes over the post following the departure of Judge Raymond Finnegan.
He was reassigned who moved to the Cavan/Monaghan District in November.
