Sligo IFA chairperson says there’s no rift between minister and Cullinan

Taoiseach Michael Martin and Minister for Agriculture and Donegal TD  Charlie McConalogue will attend the AGM of the Irish Farmers Association on Thursday next.

The event, which will take place in the Mansion House in Dublin, will be a scaled down event compared to previous years due to concerns over Covid 19.

Speaking to Ocean FM’s John Lynch, Sligo Chairperson of the IFA Kathleen Henry has denied there is any tension between Minister McConalogue and the IFA President Tim Cullinan, despite a public spat over Christmas.

The Sligo farm official says with the Taoiseach and Minister for Agriculture in attendance at the AGM will provide farmers with an opportunity to raise a number of important matters.
