A Leitrim Councillor says a new anti litter bill has the potential to finally end a pandemic that has destroyed large parts of the countryside.
New measures aimed at cracking down on illegal dumping could be on the way as a bill is due to come before the Seanad.
If enacted the bill would allow local authorities to use numerous methods to help identify culprits which would include drone footage.
