Sligo Councillor calls for audit of dog fouling units

A Sligo Councillor is calling for an audit of dog fouling units to be carried out with the aim of installing more.

Fianna Fail Councillor, Tom MacSharry is particularly looking at installing more units around Cleveragh Park, Back Avenue and the Doorly Park areas of Sligo.

He is to submit a motion at Sligo County Council’s meeting this coming Monday.

Speaking to OceanFM News, Councillor MacSharry says while there have been improvements from dog owners, it remains a major concern for many.
